SRK Consulting (UK) Limited (“SRK”) is an associate company of the international group holding company, SRK Consulting (Global) Limited (the “SRK Group”). SRK has been commissioned by Anglo Pacific Group Plc (“Anglo Pacific”, hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) to prepare a technical report (the “Technical Report”), in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”), Form 43-101F1 – Technical Report (the “Form 43-101F1”), and Companion Policy 43-101CP (the “Companion Policy”) as published and updated from time to time (latest 23 December 2005) by the Canadian Securities Administrators (“CSA”) on the Company’s royalty in relation to the Kestrel Coal Mine (“Kestrel Mine”), Queensland, Commonwealth of Australia (“Australia”). The Company, via its wholly owned Australian subsidiary Gordon Resources Limited (“GRL”), owns half of the royalty entitlement (the remaining 50% is held by three other major institutions) to the output from: 
 Kestrel Mine which is operated by Kestrel Coal Pty Ltd (“Kestrel Coal”) and for which the most recent marketable reserves over which the royalty is applicable is circa 56Mt. This 
is from 68Mt of ‘Coal Reserves’ and an assumed yield of 82.4%; and 
 Gregory Crinum Mine which is operated by BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (“BMA”) and for which the most recent marketable reserves over which the royalty is applicable is circa 17Mt. This is from 21Mt of ‘Coal Reserves’ and an assumed yield of 82.4%. <...>

1.2 Prior to September 1999 the estimation and reporting of Coal Resources and Coal Reserves in Australia were prescribed by the "Australian Code for Reporting Identified Coal Resources and Reserves (February 1986)". This code was ratified by the Government Geologists’ Conference in April 1986 and appended to the "Australasian Code for Reporting of Identified Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves" (The JORC Code), prepared by the Joint Ore Reserve Committee (JORC) in February 1989. The JORC Code was subsequently revised in 1992 and 1996.

The main role of the Mining Commission for the Qualification of Competencies in Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves, created under Law No. 20.235, is to create and manage the Public Registry of Qualified Competent Persons on Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves. The Commission is comprised by five institutions: The Institute of Mining Engineers of Chile, the Association of Geologists, the Association of Engineers, the Mining Council and the Mining National Society. Each institution has a representative on the Board of the Commission.

The Commission, using the exclusive functions granted to it under Law No. 20.235, adopted the Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves, prepared by the Institute of Mining Engineers of Chile, (2003) as the official document for reporting on the estimation, classification and assessment of mineral resources and mineral reserves. <...>

The Philippine Mineral Reporting Code (PMRC), or the “Code” sets out minimumstandards, recommendations, and guidelines for Public Reporting in thePhilippines of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources, and Mineral Reserves.

The National Public Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves Code of Türkiye (the UMREK Code) designates the minimum standards, recommendations, legal requirements and practice principles for reporting Exploration Targets, Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves within the Republic of Türkiye with the purpose of adequately informing investors and other stakeholders. This Code is related to the public reporting related to Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves required by BİST, BDDK and SPK (see the list of acronyms in Appendix 12).

The 2014 SME Guide for Reporting Exploration Results, Mineral Resources, and Mineral Reserves (the 2014 SME Guide) has been adopted by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration, Inc. (SME) and is therefore strongly recommended to be used by members of this organization.

This SME Guide for Reporting Exploration Information, Mineral Resources, and Mineral Reserves (the SME Guide) has been adopted by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration, Inc. (SME) for use by members of this organization and others. A history of the Guide is provided in Appendix H.

The Mongolian Code for the Public Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves (hereinafter referred to the MRC Code) has been prepared by the Mongolian Mineral Resources and Reserves Committee (MRC) of the Mongolian Professional Institute of Geosciences and Mining (MPIGM) with participation of the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO) and Mongolian State Professional Committee on Mineral Resources (MSPCMR).
