Geology and gold mineralization in Ghana. Geological provinces and gold mineralization / Геология и золоторудное месторождение в Гане. Геологические провинции и золоторудное месторождение
Despite Ghana’s rich history and significant contributions to the global gold mining industry, there is a notable absence of comprehensive literature specifically addressing the geology and gold mineralization of the country. This gap in academic and practical resources hinders the ability of geologists, mining professionals, and students to fully understand and leverage the unique geological characteristics that make Ghana a leading gold producer. A dedicated book on this subject would not only fill this critical knowledge void but also support the advancement of local and international mining practices, foster educational growth, and promote sustainable development within the sector. The creation of such a resource is essential for enhancing the scientific community’s understanding and for driving innovation in gold exploration and extraction in Ghana. Hence, this book primarily aims to provide an in-depth exploration of Ghana’s geology and its link to gold mineralization. It incorporates the latest advancements in studying gold deposits through field studies, petrology, structural geology, geochemistry, geostatistics, isotope geology, economic geology, and other related disciplines.
The book Geology and Gold Mineralization in Ghana is divided into five comprehensive parts with eight chapters, which deeply delve into the intricate geology and gold mineralization processes that have made Ghana one of the world’s leading gold producers
