В сборник вошли работы, посвященные различным аспектам палеонтологии и музееведения. В статьях рассмотрены вопросы таксономии, систематики и морфологии разнообразных групп ископаемых организмов: цианобионтов, брахиопод, ракообразных, агнат, рыб, динозавров, высших растений (псилофитов s.l., плауновидных, гинкгофитов и др.); приведены сведения об ископаемых почвах (fossil paleosoils, paleosoles, FPS-профилях) мелового возраста, обнаруженных в верхнемеловых отложениях пустыни Гоби, Монголия; рассказывается об уникальных находках мумифицированной кожи динозавров в юре Забайкалья. Несколько работ посвящено местонахождениям плейстоценовой мегафауны и палеолитической живописи.
